Contact lenses working from home - wear them daily or switch to glasses?

I've been working mostly from home for 2 years and normally wear contact lenses. But since I spend so much time staring at the monitor, I get dry eyes around midday and the lenses feel really uncomfortable. A lot of people tell me I should switch to glasses, but I'm not really into that. Has anyone had similar experiences and can tell me if this is normal or if I'm doing something wrong?

Most people underestimate how important breaks are - try the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet (about 6 meters) away for 20 seconds. It really helps with dry eyes, whether you wear contacts or glasses. You might also want to check your screen position - is your monitor at eye level or are you looking down at it? If you're looking down from above, your eyes open less and dry out faster. Have you tried artificial tears made specifically for contact lens wearers? They can help throughout the day without having to take your lenses out.
