Small birds like canaries and Gouldian finches need well-ventilated cages (at least around 60cm long) with natural perches and plenty of space to fly! Breeding only works well with pairs in a calm environment, stable temperature between 20 and 25 degrees, natural or artificial light for about 12-14 hours a day, and nesting boxes or nesting cages appropriate for the species size. Balanced diet with quality seeds, fruits and vegetables is essential, and you need to be prepared to separate chicks once they become independent! If it's your first time, it's worth researching the specific species you want to breed well, because each one has its own requirements!
