In my case, the home office allowance is simply treated like regular salary and is subject to income tax - so there's nothing special about it. Your employer should already be taking this into account in your payroll and taxing it accordingly, so you don't need to worry about it yourself. If you're unsure, just check your pay stub - it should be listed separately there. If you have any questions, your tax office or a tax advisor will be happy to help you out.
