I'm thinking about getting a drone to film my ski resort trips this winter. I need something compact that can handle cold weather and shoot 4K without any issues. Does anyone have experience with this model in those conditions?
The DJI Mini 4 Pro is actually pretty damn good for this, honestly 📹❄️ It's compact, handles the cold pretty well (though check your battery because it drains faster in low temps) and shoots 4K without any issues. The only thing is that strong mountain wind can be a pain because it's so light, so you'll have to be careful on really windy days, but for a normal ski resort it works great.
If you're looking for something compact, there are better options than the Mini 4 Pro for skiing, but if you've already got your heart set on it, keep in mind that wind in the mountains is your number one enemy - that drone can get blown away by strong gusts and the battery won't last nearly as long as the manual says once you're dealing with winter temperatures. Other than that, it shoots solid 4K footage and the size is convenient, but give yourself extra time at the resort for frequent battery swaps.
