I damaged the model's paint while disassembling it

I hurt myself while taking apart a plastic model I'd painted months ago, and now the piece is scratched up and the paint is half chipped off. Do you think it's worth repainting just the broken piece or starting over with the whole model? What kind of paint do you guys use for this kind of repair work?

don't redo the whole thing from scratch, that's a waste 😅 if the rest of the model is in good shape just repaint the damaged piece - use fine sandpaper to remove the chipped paint, then acrylic or hobby spray (like Vallejo or Tamiya) that stick well to plastic and mix easily if you need to match the color.
