iPhone 6s won't charge, is it the port or the battery?

I've had an iPhone 6s since 2015 that won't charge anymore. I've tried it with several different cables and adapters, but nothing works. Sometimes it gets a little warm near the Lightning port. Does anyone know if it's a port problem or should I just replace the battery instead?

If you've tried several cables and adapters and it still won't charge, the Lightning port is most likely damaged, especially since it gets hot around there. The 6s battery would be dead by now anyway (2020), so if you're going to open it up, you might as well replace both things - or better yet, take it to someone who can actually fix it properly, because the port is tricky to solder if you don't know what you're doing.
