Is a smart washing machine with Wi-Fi really worth it?

I'm thinking about trading in my Brastemp for one of these new ones that connects to your phone and sends you a notification when it's done. But I'm not sure if it's really worth spending extra money for that, you know? Does anyone here actually use one and find it practical or is it just marketing?

The price difference is really significant, and real talk: most people find the phone notification useful for the first few months and then forget it even exists. If you're already around the house during the wash cycle, honestly it's not worth it as much as it seems.
