Is a three-year degree worth it or should I just start working right away?

Hi, I'm finishing my fifth year of scientific high school in Milano and I'm not sure what to do. My dad says that with a three-year degree in Computer Science Engineering I could find a job right away, but I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to do a master's to have more opportunities. What would you guys advise? I've seen that starting salaries are pretty good anyway.

It really depends on what you actually want to do. If after your bachelor's degree you find a company that lets you study while working (and there are quite a few in tech), you can do your master's without losing time and already earning something. Otherwise, if you know the sector you're interested in requires a master's to get ahead, maybe it's worth doing it right away while you're still in "student mode" rather than going back later. The real question isn't the degree itself, but whether in three years you'll know what you want and if that path still appeals to you.
