Taking your car to a mechanic is the right move, because squeaky suspension noises usually aren't an immediate emergency but a sign that something's wearing out. It could just be dry grease on the shock absorbers, or worn bushings or springs starting to go bad - nothing catastrophic, but it gets worse over time and can mess with your grip on the road. In the meantime you can drive normally, just avoid potholes and rough roads that could make the problem worse. Check things out when you stop at a service station, and if you see something leaking or shock absorbers that are visibly damaged, then it's better not to push it too hard.
