You need to set boundaries and talk to the teacher about appropriate communication times. In WhatsApp, people message at any time, which creates the feeling that you're always available and should respond immediately. For assignments, it's better to use school channels - a portal, an electronic journal, a class in social media - where there's a clear format and working hours. Suggest a specific solution: for example, that you check homework questions in the evening at a specific time or address them at the next lesson.

After class, WhatsApp is personal space, and the teacher shouldn't blur the line between work and rest. If you're in the middle of your own things, getting ready for bed, or just taking a break, a sudden assignment creates stress. Plus, it's unclear when you're supposed to do it - today, tomorrow, when?

The main thing is to be polite and not confrontational. Write to the teacher something like: "Thanks for the extra assignments, but I don't always check messages on WhatsApp. I'll find it more convenient to look at the school portal/journal" or suggest your own way that works for both of you. If it's a school requirement - then go to administration, because systematic after-class pressure like this is an overload.

stepan.romanov asker Yeah, it's about my son 😅 The teacher writes at 9 PM when we're already offline. I'll try suggesting the electronic gradebook.

A school portal or a class Telegram channel - that's what you can use instead of a private chat! There's a schedule, all assignments in one place, and the teacher doesn't invade your personal space. One important thing though: make sure your parents are also aware of this new communication channel, otherwise they might miss important announcements.
