Is it worth putting money into investment funds with these interest rates?

I've got about 50 thousand pesos saved up and I don't know what to do with it. My bank is offering me investment funds but with interest rates so low right now I'm not sure if it's really worth it or if it's better to just leave the money in a regular savings account. Does anyone know if in 2026 it's still a viable option?

It depends more on how long you can leave the money sitting than on the exact interest rates right now. If you need quick access to that 50k, a conservative fund or a savings account are pretty much the same, so it doesn't matter. But if it's money you won't touch for years, a diversified fund will beat inflation even if slowly, and most importantly it forces you not to spend it. What I'd do is look carefully at what fixed expenses you have and whether that 50k is actually available money or money you'll need soon.
