The original HP speakers in Peugeot 3008s are pretty bland, so yeah you're definitely gonna feel a huge difference with Focal stuff even on a basic 400€ kit. That said it's not magic or anything, you'll get better clarity and bass, but if you put crappy music in there the sound system won't be revolutionary. It's worth it mainly if you listen to a lot of music while driving, otherwise it's a nice upgrade but not essential.

It's not just marketing, but it's true you gotta have realistic expectations! Like you'll clearly hear the difference compared to the factory stuff, Focal speakers sound way more lively and less "plasticky", but it's not like you've got some crazy car sound system either. At 400€ you're getting a solid deal and honestly if you don't feel like dealing with super complex installation work, it's a great compromise between quality and simplicity!

Personally I've messed around with car audio stuff and honestly for 400 bucks you're definitely gonna hear the difference, Focal speakers play in a whole different league than factory stuff. The thing nobody really thinks about is the installation - if you don't do it right, even the best speakers are gonna sound terrible. I'd recommend checking that you've got a decent shop to install it properly otherwise you're gonna be disappointed and you risk not securing the speakers right in the doors, which kills the insulation and the sound gets muddy. If you get someone competent to do it though, then yeah it's totally worth it.
