My hair is very fine and it looks flat

My hair is naturally fine and thin, and no matter how much volume I blow dry into it, it falls flat after a while and just ends up sticking to my scalp. Is there any product or technique that actually helps keep the volume without looking fake or weighed down?

I have the same problem and what works for me is using a texturizing spray before blow-drying, it gives your hair grip without making it feel sticky! I also switched to a lightweight volumizing shampoo (no conditioner on the roots, only on the ends) and the difference is noticeable. The key is not blow-drying it completely upward but creating movement with the dryer in different directions, that way the volume stays natural throughout the day without looking stiff or artificial.

The trick people forget to mention is that a lot of volumizing products have silicones or heavy polymers that give you volume at first, but after two or three washes they build up in your hair and flatten it even more. Better to look for something with lightweight ingredients like cornstarch or mineral powders that don't accumulate, and here's the important part: you have to switch shampoos every so often to avoid creating that matted effect you're describing. Some people use clarifying shampoo once a week specifically to clean out that invisible buildup.
