My girlfriend and I want to play something together again, but she doesn't really have any experience with modern board games. We like relaxed evenings without too much rule complexity. Do you have any tips for us?
Carcassonne is perfect for that - you just lay tiles and build a landscape, the rules are explained in 5 minutes. Alternatively Ticket to Ride, where you collect train routes, or Splendor if you want something with a bit more strategy but still relaxed. All three are quick to learn, fun, and don't need a 100-page rulebook.
