My 4-year-old cat has started peeing everywhere for about two weeks now - on the carpet, on the bed, even in the kitchen. But she's still using the litter box normally. I've already changed the litter and cleaned everything thoroughly, but it's not getting any better. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?
Take her to the vet - that's really the first thing you should do. Sudden inappropriate elimination is almost always a medical issue, not a behavioral or litter box problem. Urinary tract infections, kidney problems, diabetes, and other stuff like that aren't that rare in cats and can trigger exactly this behavior. The vet can check it pretty quickly with a urine sample.
If the vet checks everything medically and finds nothing, then you can also think about whether something else in the house has changed - a new neighbor, furniture moved around, stress, less attention. Some cats react to things like that with inappropriate elimination. In that case, an extra litter box could help too (the rule of thumb is: number of cats plus one), or you can put the existing one in a different spot.
The most important thing is really to see the vet first. Two weeks is already quite a while, and the sooner this gets cleared up, the better - both for your cat and for your apartment.

The answers so far are absolutely right to mention a vet visit - that really should be your first stop, because urinary tract infections, diabetes and things like that are very common with this kind of thing. Until you can get an appointment, you could watch whether she's going to the litter box more often or taking longer when she pees - that'll help the vet later on.
