Are my orchid's roots gray and dry - can I still save the plant?
I watered my orchid too infrequently and now almost all the roots are gray and look completely dried out. Only a few are still green. Can I still save it or should I throw it away?

The green roots are a good sign - cut away the gray, dead roots generously and repot the orchid in fresh orchid substrate, then you've got a real chance. Water it regularly after that (with orchids that's usually 1-2 times a week, depending on humidity and pot), but let it dry out a bit between waterings - waterlogging is the next killer. With a little patience, new roots will grow from the green roots and the plant will recover.
