Most likely it's either not enough light or a drainage problem with your pots. Lettuces need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight, and if the soil holds too much water the roots rot and can't absorb nutrients properly, which is why they turn yellow. Make sure your pots have drainage holes at the bottom and don't overwater them - let them dry out a bit between waterings. If they're in a really shady spot, try moving them somewhere brighter.
