Are OSB boards still worth it or is plywood better?
I'm renovating my attic and I'm unsure whether I should go with the cheap OSB boards or rather use plywood instead. Is there a big difference in durability between them?

OSB is completely sufficient for an attic if you're not using it as living space. Plywood lasts a bit longer and warps less, but it costs significantly more - honestly it's only worth it if you're planning to do something more ambitious with it later. The important thing anyway is that you have good ventilation, otherwise both options will get ruined by moisture. Just make it depend on your budget, OSB does the job fine.
I've used both over my 8 years and honestly it really depends on what you need it for. For an attic where it doesn't get too damp, OSB boards work fine, they're cheaper and last long enough - I've seen some still in top condition after 6 years. I'd go with plywood if you've got higher loads or it's gonna get damper, but for normal renovations you're just paying way more for a difference you might not even need.
