I have a 2024 ID.4 and for the past two months I've noticed it's losing around 2-3% battery per day even though I'm not using it. I leave it parked in the garage and when I go to use it on the weekend it's more discharged than it should be. Is this normal or is there a problem?
Don't let it discharge completely because that damages the battery in the long run, and don't ignore this either thinking it's normal. A loss of 2-3% daily is pretty high - what's normal for an electric vehicle at rest is more like 0.5-1% if anything. Check if you have any accessories connected that shouldn't be, or if the car is in slow charging mode without you asking for it, because sometimes that keeps systems active. That said, you probably need to take the car to a Volkswagen service center to have them check the battery and management system, especially if it's only been two months with this problem - it could be a factory defect or something in the software that needs an update.
