Half-finished sweater projects don't actually need special storage - they mostly just need to stay dry and away from moths. A ziplock bag or sealed plastic container works fine, and you can toss in a cedar block or some lavender to keep pests out. Just make sure the yarn itself isn't stretched out; coil it loosely in the bag rather than leaving it wound tight on needles, since that can cause permanent kinking. If you're storing needles separately, wrap them in something soft so they don't poke holes in your bag and damage the yarn.
