AI-generated horoscopes are essentially just statistical patterns pulled from existing horoscope language, so they're no more accurate than traditional ones - which is to say, not very. If you enjoy reading them for fun that's totally fine, but I wouldn't make any real decisions based on them, whether they're written by an AI or an actual astrologer.

As mentioned above, AI horoscopes are just regurgitating existing horoscope patterns at scale. The real issue is that horoscopes in general - whether written by humans or AI - work through vagueness. They use statements broad enough to apply to almost anyone on any given day. "You'll face a challenge and overcome it" is technically never wrong.

The difference with AI-generated ones is they lack even the entertainment value of a human astrologer's perspective. A real person might write something personalized or at least committed to their interpretation. An AI just mixes and matches common phrases. Your friend's new astrology site probably trains on thousands of existing horoscopes and spits out convincing-sounding blends. It's not magic, it's pattern matching.

If you enjoy reading them for fun, go ahead. But don't make decisions based on them - human or AI. I work in engineering and deal with data and probabilities. Horoscopes simply don't have any predictive power worth trusting. Your skepticism is well-placed.
