Organic pads are fine for normal daily driving - don't feel pressured to upgrade unless you actually need the performance.
The real difference comes down to your driving style and conditions. Organic pads (semi-metallic) are quieter, gentler on rotors, and cheaper. They work great for commuting and regular city driving. Ceramic pads last longer, handle heat better, and produce less dust, which matters if you care about keeping your wheels clean. They cost more upfront but the longevity can even things out. If you're doing a lot of mountain driving, towing, or live somewhere hot, ceramic makes sense. Otherwise stick with what came on the car or go organic when they wear out.
One thing to check: don't mix types on the same axle. Pair fronts with fronts and rears with rears, whatever you choose. And honestly, the pad quality varies way more between manufacturers than between organic and ceramic - a good organic pad from a decent brand will outperform cheap ceramic garbage.
