I've been using the Duolingo app for a few months now and I saw they have these quizzes like tournaments where you can win badges and stuff. But does that actually have real prizes or is it just points within the app? Has anyone actually won anything worthwhile from this?
Duolingo's prizes are only within the app itself, like badges, virtual coins, and streaks - nothing you can actually sell or exchange for real money.
I tested some of those quizzes and found them more motivating to keep up with my study routine than because of the promise of rewards, because basically it's just gamification.
If you're looking to earn something real, forget that side of it and just focus on the app as a learning tool, because that's where it's actually worth it.
