I feel like playing Age of Empires II again but I don't feel like paying on Steam. I've seen there are emulators out there but I'm a bit worried about putting malware on my computer. Is there a safe place to get it?
I get it, but being honest, if you want to play Age of Empires II without risks you don't need an emulator - the original 1999 version is super cheap on GOG or even free on some legit sites, and besides the Definitive Edition is constantly on sale on Steam (lots of times for 5-10 euros). The thing with emulators is that even though there are "safe" sites, there's always a risk of downloading something weird, and honestly it's not worth it when you can get the original game for next to nothing without hassle and without putting anything sketchy on your computer.
