For me it works best when I apply the oil only to damp ends and then blow-dry - it really seals them well and the hair looks shinier. But the real question is: how often do you wash your hair and how often do you blow-dry or straighten it? If you get your ends trimmed regularly and don't use hot tools constantly, you might not need oil at all. For me it's more of a maintenance product between cuts, not really a miracle fix for damaged hair.

Argan oil does help, but only if your ends are actually dry - if you have normal hair, you can skip it and go for lighter oils instead. I always apply it to the last 5cm before bed, and that makes a real difference.

I'd be skeptical about it, honestly - it really depends on what you've been doing before. If your ends are already damaged, oil can't restore the structure, it just seals things on the surface. What actually helps: get regular trims and don't blow-dry with heat that's too high beforehand. Argan oil is more of an aftercare thing, not the fix for damaged hair.
