Does insurance cover damage if I hit a parked car and couldn't find the other driver?

I hit my parked Hyundai HB20 on the street yesterday and nobody left a note. I went to the police station to file a report, but I'm not sure if insurance will cover it without the other car's information. I have collision coverage, but I'm wondering if I need something else or if they're going to refuse to pay.

Collision coverage normally does cover it, even without the other driver's details, as long as you have the police report (which you already filed, great!). The insurance will basically ask for: the police report, photos of the damage, and maybe an assessment report from the insurer that will evaluate your car. The important thing is there's no shared liability here, so there's no risk of them blaming you - the deductible you pay will come off the covered amount, but the coverage works normally.
