I bought a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S24 from Fnac two months ago and the screen has dead pixels starting to appear. The seller says it's not covered by warranty since it's refurbished. So I wanted to know if I really have no recourse or if the legal warranty still applies anyway?

Fnac should accept without any problem since they're legally required to - it's not a question of "manufacturer warranty" or special conditions, it's the law that protects the buyer. Push back with them by mentioning Article L217-4 of the Consumer Code if they start dragging their feet 😊
Dead pixels after two months - that's clearly a defect that should have been there from the start, and Fnac is responsible even if it's refurbished. What the other answers often forget to mention is that you can also invoke the legal warranty of conformity directly with Fnac without going through Samsung, and it's often faster. The seller can't tell you "it's refurbished so you have no rights" - that excuse doesn't hold up legally. Send an email to Fnac with photos of the screen and a copy of your receipt, and clearly ask for a refund or an exchange.
