Is it really worth buying a refurbished phone?

I'm looking to upgrade my phone right now and I'm seeing tons of refurbished phone deals on Backmarket or directly from sellers. Sure, there's definitely some savings compared to buying new, but I'm worried the battery might already be shot or there could be hidden issues. Have you guys bought any? How do they hold up after a few months?

Refurbished phones with warranty generally work fine, but it's really the warranty that makes all the difference! I know tons of people who bought from Backmarket or directly from certified sellers and they don't complain about it at all after several months, even a year or two. The battery is the real thing to check - always ask for the capacity percentage before you buy, and avoid models that are too old. If you've got at least a year's warranty on the battery, that's honestly safe, otherwise you're taking the risk of a huge expense not long after!
