The main rule is to stabilize your hand before you start. Rest your elbow on a table or countertop so your hand isn't floating in the air. Even better - press your pinky finger against your cheek or cheekbone, that'll give you an extra anchor point. Some people actually place their elbow on a special rest or hard surface. Once your hand is fixed in place, the trembling becomes way less noticeable.

As for the technique itself - don't try to draw the line in one stroke. It's better to do it in several stages: first make a thin base line, then gradually thicken and straighten it by going over it a few times. That way the line comes out smoother, plus it's easier to fix. Some people draw the line by marking dots - they set a few reference points and then connect them. Also try different eyeliner formats: liquid with a thin applicator is often easier to control than a pencil or kohl.

And overall - it's just a matter of practice. Your hands won't shake forever if you train regularly. Over time muscle memory kicks in, and your movements become more confident. Don't expect perfect results on the first try, just keep practicing.

Try drawing the arrow with short strokes instead of one continuous line - it's way easier to control the shaking :) Start from the corner of your eye, then add strokes along the eyelid, gradually making the line longer. When you get to the tip, it's easier to fix any crookedness than to erase one messed-up line. One more thing - wait for the eyeliner to dry a bit at the tip, then it's less runny and easier to control.
