Did you officially register your freelance income, or is this under-the-table money?

Because if both sources are official, then part of the tax is definitely on you. Your employer will only withhold taxes on their portion of your salary - that's their responsibility. But they can't see your freelance income and can't calculate taxes on it! So you'll have to file a tax return yourself for the tax year. You'll list everything in it: your salary from the company, income from projects, and all the taxes your employer already withheld. Usually with two income sources you end up with a recalculation - sometimes you get a refund, sometimes you owe more.

Now, if your freelance income isn't registered with the tax office (no sole proprietorship, no contracts, no paperwork) - that's a completely different story, but a risky one. The tax authorities can find unofficial deposits in your account and demand an explanation. The most honest thing is to register your freelance work as a sole proprietorship or self-employed status - then at least it'll be transparent and legal. After that you just pay the required fees and file a report once a year, it's straightforward.
