How long it lasts depends on your driving style and conditions, but normally a new brake pad lasts between 50,000 and 70,000 kilometers. If you brake a lot or drive in heavy city traffic, it can wear out faster.

Brake pads typically last between 50,000 and 70,000 km, but it really varies a lot. In my car, which I drive normally on the highway, I changed them at 65,000 km and they still had material left, but I didn't want to take the risk. If you brake a lot (city driving, traffic, frequent descents), you can easily end up needing a change at 40,000 km.

The safest way is to keep an ear out for noise when you brake or watch the wear indicator that some pads have, instead of just relying on mileage.
