The thing is, just bringing it up directly often isn't enough - sometimes it's just that people are so swamped with everyday stuff that they don't even think about meeting up anymore. 🤔 Instead of just saying "I miss hanging out," you could frame it differently: play games together online, watch a movie together, or just meet up at the bakery when you're in town anyway - basically lower the barrier instead of raising it. Sometimes it also helps if you take the initiative yourself and say "hey, let's grab coffee at mine next Saturday, bring your wife" - then it becomes concrete instead of just a vague demand.

But in the end, you also gotta accept that some friendships just shift, and that's okay. 💙

Don't just accept that things have to stay this way - tell them directly that you miss seeing them in person, and suggest specific times instead of just hanging out online. 🎲 Sometimes you just need a little push to get back together.

Sometimes it helps to take the initiative yourself and just drop by - don't always wait for the other person to make the first move.

With me, I have a buddy I used to only message with on WhatsApp until I told him I'd come over and we'd do something in the garden together.

Since then we've been meeting up more regularly because it's less mentally draining when you just make plans instead of going back and forth messaging forever. Sometimes you just need someone to get the ball rolling.
