Coffee is more of a scapegoat here than the real culprit. Usually a "coffee belly" doesn't come from the drink itself, but from the fact that people drink it instead of eating a proper breakfast or pair it with pastries and sweets - coffee just speeds up your metabolism and increases your appetite, which makes people eat more calories.

If you want to get rid of the belly, you need to fix your diet overall, not look for the answer in a cup, and it's better to add some physical activity too.

I've been drinking coffee for a long time, but I don't see any problems with it precisely because it's just a drink with a full breakfast, not a replacement for it.
