Procedures do work, but before you go to a dermatologist, try a systematic approach: good sunscreen (SPF 50+), because UV makes scars more noticeable, and retinoids in your home routine - they're slower than laser treatment, but more affordable and they help with surface-level scarring. If the scars are deep, then yeah, you definitely need to see a doctor.
