From a pharmacist's perspective, I'll tell you - post-acne scars are really stubborn stuff, and you can't get by without a cosmetologist or dermatologist, they'll pick something specifically for your skin type (could be laser, chemical peeling or microneedling). And from what you can try on your own - a good cream with retinol or vitamin C, they at least prevent new scars and smooth out the skin a bit, but this only works in the early stages.

As a veterinarian, I know more about animals than dermatology, but I'll be honest - this is a question for a dermatologist, not for me) I can only suggest seeing a specialist who can pick the right procedures for you, like laser resurfacing or microneedling depending on what kind of scars you have. In general, good moisturizing creams with retinol help too, but you won't get much effect without professional treatment.
