How to repair a wooden fence that's rotting at the posts?

My fence line has about 6 posts that are starting to rot at ground level, especially on the shaded north side where it stays damp. I'm not sure if I need to replace the whole posts or if there's a way to reinforce them without taking down the whole section. What's the most cost-effective approach?
