It really depends on what you're doing, but for a 2019 Dell it's generally a good move if you're doing heavy multitasking. 8 GB is really tight when you've got like 15 Chrome tabs open plus other stuff, so 16 GB you're gonna clearly feel the difference. RAM is relatively cheap to upgrade (like 30-50 bucks) and it's easy to install yourself on an Inspiron, so I'd say go for it, but first check if your laptop actually supports up to 32 GB before you buy. If it's still super slow after that it might be your hard drive dying and then an SSD would make more of a difference than a RAM upgrade, but I think you'll see a nice improvement already.

I'd say it's worth it if you're really doing heavy multitasking 🎸 I upgraded the RAM on my old laptop a few years back and it gave me like 2-3 extra years of life, especially for not too much money. But yeah it really depends on your budget and how long you're planning to keep your Dell, but honestly 16 GB for 2019 is a good deal. Just check before buying if your model can actually take 16 GB without too much hassle to install 😊
