Is it worth buying from Shein with the discount codes that are going around?

What kind of stuff are you usually looking for? 🤔 It depends on what you want to buy, but discount codes on Shein are only worth it if shipping doesn't scare you off and you don't mind waiting weeks for the item to arrive. The base prices are low, sure, but 90% of the time the quality is terrible and returns are a hassle, so you end up throwing money away. If you're after throwaway clothes or stuff to just try out, fine, but if you want something that lasts the discounts won't save you 😅

I've tried several times with those codes and the savings always end up being smaller than they seem. The code might take off 15-20%, but international shipping is what it is, and if you order a small amount you end up paying almost the same as a regular store, except you wait three weeks instead of getting your stuff right away.

What nobody says is that Shein plays with base prices - they inflate the original price and then make you feel like you're saving a ton with the discount. Meanwhile the quality is what it is, the fabrics often fall apart after a few washes, and returns are a real pain. the real flaw in the reasoning i see a lot is that people only calculate the final price with the discount, not the total cost with shipping. because yeah, maybe you save 10-15% on an item, but then delivery still costs you a fair amount and arrives after a month or so. discount codes never really cover shipping decently, at least from what i can tell.

if you really have to buy from there, use them for orders above a certain amount where the shipping cost spreads better. but if the stuff is disposable or borderline quality, even with the discount you're spending your money poorly.

The discount codes work, but what nobody mentions is that it's worth waiting for Black Friday or their random flash sales: the base discounts get way bigger compared to the codes you find floating around, and at least you don't end up paying crazy shipping on cheap items. Otherwise yeah, the trick is to do the math on your final total, shipping included, before you click.
