Is it worth starting a long fantasy series in 2026?

I've been thinking about finally jumping into Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive, but I'm worried it'll take forever to finish. Do people still think it's worth committing to massive multi-book series, or should I focus on standalones?

Absolutely worth it - Sanderson's world-building is exceptional and the wait between books gives you plenty of time to savor each one, plus there's a whole community still actively discussing the series in 2026. Life's too short not to read what genuinely excites you, whether it's a 10-book epic or a standalone.
