Is the RTX 4060 worth it in 2026 for gaming at 1440p?

I'm thinking about building a new PC and I'm looking at this card in the price range I can afford. My friends say it's too weak to run new games decently, but I wanted to know if it really can't handle 1440p with good settings. Does anyone here use it and manage to run Helldivers 2 and Black Myth Wukong without dropping too many frames?

The RTX 4060 is really tight for 1440p in 2026. It's not that it won't run games, but you'll need to lower graphics quality quite a bit in the heavier titles. Your friends are right - the card only has 8GB of VRAM and the GPU is weak compared to what games are asking for now. Helldivers 2 might run okay because it's not that demanding, but Black Myth Wukong is going to be a struggle.

The thing is, games coming out this year and next are going to demand more and more. If you lower textures, disable ray tracing, and set everything to medium, you can keep 60fps at 1440p in some titles, but that's not what we want, right. If your budget allows, think about a 4070 Super or something better - you can forget about compromising on settings and still have some headroom for longer.
