I recently installed a Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX in my car and the Bluetooth connection drops every 5 minutes or so. I have to restart the unit for it to work again. This happens to me with both my phone and my partner's phone. Is it a problem with the unit or is there something in the car that's interfering?
The first thing I'd do is update the firmware on your Pioneer unit, because a lot of times those frequent disconnection issues get fixed with an update. If it keeps happening after that with two different phones, it's probably a defect in the head unit and you should claim it under warranty. It's also worth deleting the unit from your phone's Bluetooth and pairing from scratch again - sometimes the old pairing data gets corrupted. As for interference in the car, it's possible but unlikely to be that if it's happening with both phones.
