I just bought an original Type-C charger and the phone gets to 80% in like 45 minutes, but then it just stops there. Could it be that the battery's already damaged or something with the software? It's weird because the phone barely gets any use.
I don't think it's the battery yet, what you're seeing is pretty normal on Samsung A13s because the original charger has protection to prevent overcharging after 80%. Once it hits that point, the phone intentionally slows down the charging speed to protect the battery in the long run, so if you leave it plugged in for another 30-40 minutes it'll reach 100% but super slowly. If it really bothers you, you can try restarting your phone or check in settings if there's something turned on that's causing heavy battery drain, but overall it's normal behavior for that model. Just make sure you're using a real original USB-C charger because there are tons of knockoffs that don't work properly.
The original charger has that overcharge protection that was already mentioned, but if you want to speed up those last 20% there's a trick: disable fast charging temporarily in Settings > Battery > Adaptive charging (or something similar, depends on your version) and then turn it back on. Sometimes the phone gets "stuck" at that threshold and restarting that function unlocks it 🤷 Also try charging in airplane mode during those last percentages; without connection the system stops running background tasks and finishes charging faster.
