Propagating succulent cuttings from a friend

Sempervivum cuttings prefer to stay dry rather than wet, so a water tray isn't ideal - it's better to let them dry out for a couple of days and then place them on dry sand or potting soil, without watering until they start to root (maybe 2-3 weeks). You'll see they'll take easily, sempervivum is really tough stuff.
