Sizing up isn't a good idea - the boot will actually be loose and your foot will move around when you're skiing, you'll feel it right away. Instead, get proper ski socks - they're thin but super warm, that's literally what they're made for. Regular thick socks in a boot just squeeze your foot and mess with blood circulation. When you're buying boots, put on those ski socks and try them on in those - that way you'll nail the perfect size, and your foot will be both warm and comfortable. Trust me, the difference in how it feels is huge!
