Don't force yourself into business shoes if you're out and about all day and your feet hurt afterwards! It's just not worth it, and honestly, you can tell when someone's been walking around unhappy in uncomfortable shoes all day. What really matters is that you feel comfortable and don't have to constantly think about your feet.
For everyday wear, I'd personally go for good sneakers. These days they come in so many varieties that you can actually look decent anywhere in them - whether you're shopping, taking a walk, or even just going to a café. You really only need business shoes if you actually work in a very formal environment or you're going to important appointments. And even then: plenty of people are already wearing sneakers with suits and dress shirts, that's totally fine now!
My tip: find yourself a pair of high-quality, plain sneakers that match your style. White, grey, or black works with almost everything. Your feet will thank you, and you'll also save yourself the hassle. If things do get more formal, you can always wear something else - but in your normal everyday life, you shouldn't have to suffer!
For me it's like this: I'm out and about in different environments all day, and sneakers have just become more practical. With good sneakers (not some cheap garbage) you don't look unprofessional, your feet don't hurt, and you can actually focus instead of constantly cursing your shoes. You really only need business shoes when you're sitting in meetings or going to important appointments - for everyday stuff that's overkill.
