I'm torn between getting a classic pair of Nike or Adidas for €80 or splurging on something really premium like New Balance 990s or Salomon. Does the quality really justify the price? I want something that lasts a long time and ages well.
Premium sneakers like New Balance 990s typically last two to three times longer than a basic pair, especially if you're someone who wears them regularly. That said, it really depends on how you use them - if you're just wearing them casually every now and then, 80€ is more than enough, but if you want something that ages well and you're actually gonna wear them a lot, dropping 150-200€ on quality shoes isn't a pointless luxury, you get it back in how long they last.
