Think of it this way: which room would you use most often to change the baby? If it's always the bedroom or bathroom, the wall-mounted one makes sense because you keep it fixed there and don't move it. But if you find yourself moving around the house during the day - living room, kitchen, bedroom - the portable one wins because you grab it and put it wherever you need it at that moment, especially in the first few months when you're changing diapers constantly.

On the practical side, the wall-mounted one does take up less space, but to install it properly you need a solid wall (nothing fragile like drywall) and you need to know how to use a drill without causing damage. If you're not confident about doing it, you end up calling someone and spending extra money. The portable one you just unfold, use it and that's it - and if you decide to change your mind in the coming years, it's no big deal to take it down.

Personally, I get along better with the portable one exactly because I move around the house a lot, but it really depends on how you use your spaces.

The wall-mounted changing table saves you a lot of space at home, but you need to make sure the wall can support it properly and that you can install it without any issues. The portable one is more versatile because you can move it from room to room, which is especially useful if you don't have a dedicated space for changing. It really depends on how much space you have and how long you think you'll use it: if it's a temporary solution, the portable wins, otherwise the wall-mounted one is more comfortable long-term.

It depends on how long you plan to use it: if you're only going to keep the changing table for the first few months, the portable one makes more sense because you can resell it or give it away easily, whereas the wall-mounted one becomes a "fixed fixture" that ends up staying in your house.

How much space do you actually have available? Because if the answer is "not much," the wall-mounted one wins hands down - but if your place is small and you're already thinking about changing rooms or moving maybe in the next few years, the portable one saves you the hassle of having to find another spot to install it and then drill holes in the walls all over again. It really comes down to how stable your housing situation is right now.
