Most recruiters in 2026 still want PDF, so it's the safest format if you don't know what the company prefers. It's easy to send, doesn't get messed up during delivery, and works on any device without formatting surprises. That said, it depends a lot on the industry you're looking in: if you work in IT, design, or creative fields, then having an online portfolio or personal website is basically mandatory because it shows your work better than a static sheet.

My advice is to have both. Use the PDF as your main document to send when they ask for it, but also prepare a link to your LinkedIn (that's the bare minimum) and maybe a portfolio if your field requires it. Notion is nice for people who do more visual work or if you want an original approach, but honestly a lot of recruiters won't even click on weird links - they prefer simple stuff. If you send your CV, put your LinkedIn profile link in the CV itself so whoever reads it knows where to find more info without having to figure anything out.

One important thing: when you send the PDF, make sure it's easy to read and the filename isn't generic like "cv.pdf". Put your name on it, like "Marta_Rossi_CV.pdf" so at least whoever downloads it knows right away whose it is.
