What do I do with flowers that stop blooming after two weeks?
My cosmos and zinnias bloom beautifully, but they lose their looks really fast. I water them regularly and seem to take good care of them. Is there a way to extend their blooming period?

The key thing is to remove the spent flowers so the plant doesn't waste energy on seed production and keeps putting out new buds. If you don't do that, cosmos and zinnias really do quickly switch into seed-producing mode and stop flowering.
