What does it mean if you accidentally break a mirror at home?

breaking a mirror is just bad luck in superstition, supposedly seven years worth, but obviously it's just a coincidence since mirrors break all the time and nothing actually happens to people. the real issue is you gotta be careful with the glass shards since those'll cut you way faster than any curse would.
