Before completely replacing it, you should check whether it's really the render that's the problem or if there's moisture underneath - often the flaking comes from that, and putting a new coating over a water issue is just throwing money out the window. If it's just wear and tear on the render, you've got plenty of options: you can go with quality render again (acrylic or silicone, more durable than the old stuff), opt for a thin finish like tadelakt for something more modern, or really switch it up with wood cladding, fibre-cement, or even brick veneer if your budget allows.
I had to redo the façade at my place after the stucco started falling off in chunks, and honestly the easiest thing is to just put stucco back on but better quality this time - something classic and not too expensive. If you want something more durable, cladding (wood, composite, or fibrecement) holds up way better over time and needs less maintenance, even though it costs more. Otherwise you've also got mineral renders or special façade paints that do the job if you just want to freshen things up without tearing everything down, but they're less resistant than good stucco or cladding in the long run.
